Men Can Cook Chef Level: Welterweight

Intro
Air Fry Stuffed Mushrooms is an appetizer for all you mushroom lovers. This is a really easy recipe that just takes some prep work to get you ready to cook. With these, I’ll make a tray of them ahead of time and leave them in the refrigerator until its App time!! Then you pop them in the Air fryer, sprinkle a little more cheese on top, and they are good to go in 10 minutes.
Now, what type of meat do you like? With this example, I used Crab meat because I was being fancy that day. However, you can switch it up to what you have available or your taste preference. My go-to meat is of course the crowd favorite BACON! Always make recipes your own and make stuff to your preferences or your guests.
Beer pairing
What beer to serve with Air Fry Stuffed Mushrooms? Well, the earthy taste of the mushrooms goes really well with a dark stout such as Guinness. However, an IPA or a sour beer with their unique hop or sour taste also goes with this Mushroom Appetizer. IPAs have really great earth tones that pair well with Mushrooms. This particular time I had a Platform Tart Fizz which I really enjoyed how it paired well with its slightly sour taste. I’ll leave the choice up to you and feel free to let me know what you like in the comments!
Men you can do this!
Ingredients
- 20oz of Mushrooms
- 4oz of Shredded Cheese
- 1 TBS of Seasoning (For Crab I use a Cajun & For bacon Everything seasoning)
- 8oz of Cream Cheese
- 4oz of Meat (Crab or Bacon are examples)
Directions
- The first step is to clean the mushrooms. DO NOT use water on the Mushrooms. I’d recommend using a lightly damp paper towel and wiping the Mushrooms down.
- The next step will be to remove the stems and set them aside for later use.
- Once the stems are removed you clear out some of the inner parts of the mushrooms to create a place for the stuffing!
- Chop up the stems and sauté them over medium heat with the butter in a skillet pan. Once cooked turn off the heat and set aside.
- In a bowl put the cream cheese into the bowl.
- Add the seasoning and ½ the shredded cheddar cheese to the cream cheese and mix up with a fork.
- Add in the cooked stems to the bowl of cream cheese and mix it up.
- Now take a spoon and fill each of the mushrooms.
- At this point, I’d cover up the tray of Mushrooms and let them cool in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or until you are ready to cook.
- Add the Mushrooms to the air fryer and sprinkle them with some of the shredded cheese.
- Cook in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 380 degrees Fahrenheit. At the 5 minute mark take a look at the progress to estimate if they need the full 10 minutes. You can always put them back in!
- Plate and enjoy it!
