Intro

Bacon Smash Burger Tacos came to me from social media.  I was scrolling thru one night and saw them and thought that hell I can do that.  Well, I can but it took me a few times to get it right.  What worked best for me is making these with 1/8 lb. smash burgers.  They seemed to cook quickly and were easier to fold into a taco at the end.  The broiling also helped because it helped to melt the cheese and keep the tortillas soft!  Now as always, you can change toppings to what you like on a burger.  I’m thinking down the road I may make a mushroom Swiss cheese taco burger, but do what you want to do!

Men you can do this!

  • 8 Slices of Cheese
  • 8 Pieces of Bacon

Directions

  1. In a Skillet over medium heat cook your bacon. It usually takes about 3 minutes per side to get a good crispy piece of bacon.
  2. Remove the bacon from the pan and place them on a paper towel. Slice each piece into 2.
  3. Mix the Taco Seasoning into the Ground Beef and divide into 8 equal balls.
  4. Place a taco beef ball into the skillet and place a tortilla on top of the meat.
  5. Smash the Tortilla into the meat smashing the burger into a thin burger shape.
  6. Cook at medium heat for 3 or so minutes.
  7. Scoop the burger and flip it into the oven with the tortilla side down. Repeat this process for the other burgers.
  8. Place of the cut slices of bacon over the burger followed by the slice of cheese. Repeat this process for the other burgers.
