Chicken Stuffed Croissants

Men Can Cook Chef Level:  Featherweight

Yields 4 Stuffed Croissants

Intro

Chicken Stuffed Croissants are a fun recipe that I think can be seasoned or filled in various fun ways.  In this example, I used chicken, bacon, ranch, & Cajun season to stuff the croissant.  However, I think you could change up seasonings and add different sauces to make it your own.  I’m definitely going to make different stuffing for this one in the coming month.  A couple of quick ideas is a hot sauce to make buffalo chicken stuffing or a BBQ sauce with some Ham bits instead of bacon.  The world is yours, so get creative and let me know if you find a fun combo!

Ingredients

  • 1 can of Croissants rolls
  • 1 lb. of Ground Chicken
  • ½ lb. of Bacon
  • 8oz Cream Cheese
  • 2 Tsp Butter
  • 1 Tbsp. Seasoning (I used Cajun)
  • ¼ Cup of Ranch Dressing

Directions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat cook up your Ground Chicken. (I cooked the meat in a little bacon grease)
  2. Set the cooked chicken in a medium bowl and let cool for at least 10 minutes.
  3. While the chicken cools line your sheet pan with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 350 F.
  4. Now cube up and slice your softened butter and cream cheese. Add it to the bowl of chicken.
  5. Sprinkle the bacon bits over the top of the butter and cheese.
  6. Add your seasoning and your ranch dressing on top of the bacon.
  7. Mix everything up with a large spoon. You can use the back of the spoon to smash up the cubes of cheese into the chicken and bacon meat.
  8. Open the Croissant can there are 8 pieces, but you want just to separate them into 4 pieces and press the seam together. (Refer to the picture to fully understand)
  9. Now spoon 3 to 4 spoonfuls of the chicken mixture into the middle of each croissant.
  10. Bring the corners over the mixtures and press them together.
  11. Once all 4 are completed place them in the oven for 18 to 20 minutes checking as it goes to see when the croissants have a great brown crust.
  12. Remove from oven, plate, and enjoy a filling meal!
