Intro

Honey Gingersnap Cookies is a simple cookie recipe that will satisfy a sweet tooth.  These cookies are amazing.   They go great with a big glass of milk.  Honey Gingersnap Cookies are also great dunked in your hot coffee or tea.  Something about the flavors really makes that dunk in a hot beverage amazing!  Honey Gingersnap Cookies are also really amazing out of the oven, but later when they cool and you pull one out of the cookie jar they are still really good.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup of Shortening
  • ¼ Cup of Honey
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2 ¼ Cups of Flour
  • 2 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Ginger
  • ¼ Tsp Salt
  • Granulated sugar

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl mix brown sugar, shortening, honey, & egg.
  2. Mix in the remaining ingredients except for the Granulated sugar.
  3. Cover bowl and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat Oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  5. Spray a cooking sheet with cooking spray.
  6. Roll the cookie dough into small balls and dip the tops into the granulated sugar.
  7. Place them on the cooking sheet about 3 inches apart.
  8. Cook in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and place them on a wire rack to cool.
  10. Pour a glass of Milk, dunk cookie, and enjoy!
