Intro

Liquid Smoke Jelly Cheese Dip is a great appetizer that works really well with crackers.  Now this one is you can change the flavors in two different ways.  One you can use different types of liquid smoke and two you can use different kinds of Jelly.  For this example, I used a Mesquite-flavored smoke and a Jalapeno Jelly that my family makes.  I found it to be a great combination, but go ahead and mix this one up to find your favorite!  I doubled the recipe for a get-together, so in the pictures below you will see that.  Now give this one a go and experiment on your own with it!

Ingredients

  • 8oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 TBS of Avocado Oil
  • 1 Tsp of Liquid Smoke
  • ¼ Cup of Jelly
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Cooking Spray

Directions

  1. Spray a pan with cooking spray and place the 8oz block of cream cheese into the pan.
  2. Slice shallow cuts across the block of cream cheese.
  3. In a small bowl mix the Oil and Liquid smoke to the best of your ability.
  4. Baste the cream cheese box with the oil and liquid smoke mix.
  5. Sprinkle the top of the cream cheese block with salt and pepper.
  6. Place the pan into the oven at 200 F for 2 hours. This slow low cook gives the cheese a smoky flavor.
  7. At the end of the 2 hours take it out of the Oven and spoon on the Jelly.
  8. Place back into the oven for another 5 to 7 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and serve with crackers.
