Intro

Maple Apple Pork Chops is a simple chop recipe you can do in a single skillet.  This is a great recipe and since I’m currently on an animal-based diet it’s perfect.  If you are not on a diet I recommend replacing the Maple syrup with brown sugar.  You get a much sweeter taste and you know sugar.  This also is perfect for a fall season meal.  This one doesn’t take long so you can do it on a weeknight with no problem.  It could also work for a quick weekend lunch.  Give this one a go!

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork Chops
  • 2 Large Apple
  • 1/3 Cup of Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 Stick of Butter
  • 1 tsp of Cinnamon

Directions

  1. In a large bowl add the diced apples.
  2. Put in the Maple Syrup and the Cinnamon on the apples.
  3. Stir up the apples, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Set this aside for a few minutes.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat melt a small amount of the butter to prepare the pan for the pork chops.
  5. Place the pork chops in the skillet and cook the chops for about 3 to 4 minutes per side or until you reach an internal temperature of 145 F.
  6. Once they are done remove them from the skillet and place them on a plate until needed again.
  7. Now add the rest of the butter to the skillet and then once it has melted chiefly add in the apple mixture.
  8. Cook the apples down to your desired softness. I like my apples with a little crunch left but to each their own.
  9. Once the apples are ready reduce the heat and add the pork chops back to the skillet to mix everything together for a few minutes. This will also heat the pork chops back up a little for eating.
  10. Remove from skillet and plate. Enjoy your meal!
