Men Can Cook Chef Level: Featherweight
Yields Depend on the size of your Brisket but for a 2.5 Lb. will feed 2 to 3 people in my opinion!
Intro
Oven Beef Brisket is a simple rub and slow-cook recipe that tastes great. If you want some juicy and tasty meat then this recipe is for you. I like to make a few sides for this Beef Brisket because you do have time to make it while this one cooks for hours. I made some excellent mashed potatoes because meat and potatoes are the best! Plus the juice of the meat with mashed potatoes is just a heavenly combination! Give Oven Beef Brisket a shot and enjoy some great meat!

Ingredients
- 2-2.5lb Beef Brisket
- 1/3 Cup of Brown Sugar
- 2 TBS Paprika
- 1 TBS Smoked Paprika
- 2 ½ Ground Black Pepper
- 1 TBS Kosher Salt
- 1 TBS Garlic Powder
- 1 TBS Onion Powder
- ½ Tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1/3 Cup fo BBQ Sauce
- ¼ Cup of Yellow Mustard
Directions
- Preheat the Oven to 285 F.
- Create your rub by combining all the ingredients except for the mustard into a bowl.
- Mix the seasonings with a whisk or a fork.
- Take your Beef Brisket and cover it with Mustard.
- Sprinkle the Rub all over the Beef Brisket. The mustard will help to get the rub to hold onto the Beef. This rub should cover up to a 6lb brisket, so just use it all!
- Take a pan with an edge around it, so that the beef juice will not spill over into the oven. Cover the bottom with parchment paper.
- Wrap the brisket with parchment paper and place it on the pan.
- Now cover the brisket that is on the pan with aluminum foil and be sure to seal it completely.
- Place the Brisket in the oven at 285 F for 3 hours. A larger brisket may take longer, but what you want is an internal temperature of 195 F.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for up to 30 minutes this will give the brisket time to pull in all the juicy flavor.
- Baste with BBQ Sauce.
- Slice and serve with your favorite sides!
