Gourmet Popcorn that is created in the traditional American Way. Large kernels are placed in a kettle filled with oil and pure cane sugar. The kernels are then allowed to expand into their full glory on their own time without any Hot Air. They are then flavored with some of the most amazing flavors as we will get into during this review! This company is run by two brothers! Brandon & Jordan Greer are the Kettle Bros! There are 8 different flavors of Kettle Brothers Popcorn. There are 5 regular flavors which are Classic Kettle Corn, Cinnamon Roll, Cookies & Cream, Heavenly Cake, & Smokin’ White Cheddar! Then there are 3 other Protein + flavors that are Peanut Butter Cup, Dark Chocolate Sea Salt, & Heavenly Cake. They come in 5oz resealable bags! Each bag is 4 servings according to the Nutrition Facts. Fun fact I’ve never opened a bag and not finished it. However, I like that it does come in a resealable bag. I’m going to rank the regular flavors and then the Protein + flavors. I think they deserve to be separated.
Regular Flavors
(I didn’t try the Classic Kettle Corn because I purchased the sampler pack and I didn’t notice that it was not included…My BAD!
- Cinnamon Roll is my favorite flavor out of the Regular. It tastes like a cinnamon bun, but with the crunch and light airiness of Popcorn. That’s my go-to numeral Uno!
- This was a surprise for me I thought I wouldn’t like this one, but Heavenly Cake takes the #2 spot! It really is heavenly and tastes like a birthday party! Don’t skip this flavor! Pick it up!!
- Cookies & Cream takes 3rd for me. If you like a good sandwich cookie you will enjoy this popcorn. It’s the perfect balance of popcorn and cookie!
- Smokin’ White Cheddar can stand next to any white cheddar popcorn in the market! It is wonderful and don’t take my number 4 ranking as it not being great! It is Smokey and wonderful!
Protein + Flavors
I was a little worried that the protein added into these would give the popcorn a weird chalky flavor or taste like a protein bar. They really don’t! If you set these in a bowl next to the other and just told me the flavor I wouldn’t have even known it had protein in it! It’s like a Bro Bonus! Each serving contains 10 grams of protein.
- Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Protein + is amazing! The Dark Chocolate Sweetness and the Sea Salt are just a great contrast. Plus it’s on the most amazingly perfectly popped Popcorn. It takes the #1 spot on the Protein + Side!
- Heavenly Cake Protein again takes the #2 spot, but as good as the regular flavor, just with the added protein bonus!
- Peanut Butter Cup Protein + is incredible and has an amazing flavor. The Peanut Butter Cup is just the right amount of sweetness and peanut butter!
Cost/Affordability
First off it’s a gourmet popcorn that is not hot air popped. The quality of the popcorn is unmatched. You get a fully popped kernel from the top to the bottom of the bag. The Bag is a resealable bag! Not many snacks have that! You can get 2 5oz bags for $11.99 or a sampler pack of 4 bags for $20. The Protein + bags go for $8 a bag which is a little more for the Protein Bro Bonus. I believe the Quality really justifies the price point they are at. Slightly less affordable than what you would pick up at the convenience store.
Overall thoughts
I absolutely love this product! I’ve shared it with a few friends and family. They gave the same feedback and I’m not joking when I say I’ve never opened a bag and not finished it. I have not needed the resealable bag, but hey that’s just me. The popcorn is the same from the top of the bag to the bottom of the bag. I don’t know many snack items that I can say that about.
