Men Can Cook Chef Level: Featherweight
Yields 6 tacos
Intro
When I say Simple I mean simple for this one. Simple Southwest Shrimp Tacos are wonderful and if you prepare them like this then you will have a fantastic meal. The only problem is you can only make them on Tuesdays. I know you may be reading this on a Wednesday and now you have to wait 6 days. Well it’s ok now you have something great to look forward to and you have time to properly marinade for your shrimp! I suggest getting a couple of pounds of shrimp and using one of these marinades. In this instance, I use the Island Firewood Grill.
Once the shrimp is marinade grill them up as shrimp kababs and save a pound of the shrimp for these Tuesday Simple Southwest Shrimp Tacos! In the end, you get 2 meals. One before Tuesday with the kababs and then Simple Southwest Shrimp Tacos on Tuesday!
Men you can do this!
Ingredients
- 1 LB of Marinated Shrimp
- 1 Bag of Bird’s eye Southwestern Blend
- 6 6inch Flour Tortillas
Boom Boom Sauce
- 2 TBS of Ranch Dressing
- 1 TBS of Honey
- Sriracha to Taste
Directions
- Take a minute and read the intro to this recipe…I’ll wait.
- First the Boom Boom Sauce. Put the Ranch in a small bowl and add in the Honey. Give it a quick mix and then add the Sriracha to taste. Start with a little and add until you reach your level of Heat.
- Cook the Birds Eye Southwestern Blend as directed. I usually do it on the stove in a 2-quart pot with a ¼ cup of water for about 9 to 10 minutes.
- Then heat you’re previously cooked and marinated shrimp in a pan. (Did you read the intro?)
- Now let’s get building! You can use either a Hard Shell Taco or a Soft Shell in this example I used a softshell. Heat both sides of the tortilla in a pan for about 30 seconds a side on medium-high heat.
- Place the tortilla down and add the Boom Boom Sauce, Southwest Veggie blend, & then the Shrimp.
- Serve on a plate with some added bonuses! Suggested bonuses are Guac, Salsa, Sour Cream, & a couple of lime wedges!
