Intro

Simple Stuffed Banana Bread is great for you Banana lovers out there who have a sweet tooth.  This is also a great Thanksgiving side.  If you are a guest at Thanksgiving bake a loaf of Simple Stuffed Banana Bread and bring it over for the meal.  It tastes amazing and is really more of a dessert bread that goes well with the Thanksgiving meal.  Bringing an item to as a guest is always welcome and this one will score you a couple of points with your host.

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • ¼ Cup of Sugar
  • ½ Cup of Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup Melted Butter
  • ¼ Cup of Sour Cream
  • 1 Tsp of Vanilla
  • 2 Ripe Bananas
  • ½ Tsp of Baking Powder
  • ½ Tsp of Baking Soda
  • 1 Cup of Flour

Stuffing

  • 4oz of Cream Cheese
  • ¼ cup of Sugar
  • 3 TBS of Flour
  • 1 Egg

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl put in the Egg, sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, sour cream, and vanilla.
  3. Give these ingredients a mix and then break up 2 ripe bananas and add them to the mixture.
  4. Mash the Banana into the mix. I used a Potato masher to get it all mixed together.
  5. Slowly add in the Baking Powder, Baking Soda, & Flour.
  6. Set this bowl after mixed all together aside and get out a medium-sized bowl to create the Stuffing.
  7. Add into the medium bowl the cream cheese, sugar, flour, and egg.
  8. Mix these ingredients up into a creamy stuffing for your bread.
  9. Spray a loaf pan with a cooking spray and then add in half of the Banana Mix.
  10. Next, you need the layer of Stuffing. Add in all of the creamy stuffing to the loaf pan to create your stuffing layer.
  11. Put in the rest of the banana mixture on top of the stuffing.
  12. Put the Loaf into the oven for 1 hour.
  13. Remove from the oven and let cool on a rack. Slice up and enjoy it!
