Sloppy Joe’s Cornbread Casserole is a fun casserole combining great flavors. The sloppy Joe’s every lunch lady made for the kids at school and the sweet taste of cornbread. You can use any of the sloppy Joe flavors. Click this link for ideas! Also if you like a little heat dice up some jalapenos and add them to your cornbread mix before the first bake. Make this one your own. Want to use a white cheddar cheese like I did go ahead. Or you can go with a sharp cheddar no worries! Sloppy Joe’s Cornbread Casserole is also great reheated, so no worries if you have leftovers. Give this recipe a go!

Ingredients
- 1 8.5oz Cornbread Mix
- 1 14.75oz Can of Creamed Corn
- ½ Cup of Milk
- 2 eggs
- 3 Cups of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 ½ lb. ground beef
- 1 15oz Can of Manwich Sloppy Joe sauce
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 400 F. Spray a 13×9 Casserole pan and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine Cornbread mix, Creamed Corn, Milk, Eggs, and 1 cup of shredded cheese.
- Mix these ingredients well in the bowl and then pour the contents into the 13×9 casserole pan.
- Bake this for 20 Minutes.
- While the Cornbread mix is baking it is time to cook your meat.
- In a large pan over medium heat brown your ground beef until there is no pink. Drain the fat and then add in the Sloppy Joe Sauce.
- Cook the meat for an additional 5 minutes, so the sauce and meat combine.
- Take the casserole pan out of the oven and spread the meat mixture over the baked cornbread.
- Top the casserole with the rest of the shredded cheese and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
- Once removed from the oven let it cool for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting it into squares.
- Plate and enjoy!
