Slow Cooker Ravioli Lasagna

Men Can Cook Chef Level:  Featherweight

Yields 12 Servings

Intro

Slow Cooker Ravioli Lasagna came from my laziness.  Let me explain I like Lasagna, but I don’t like the time and effort it takes to make a really good homemade lasagna.  I’m Lazy!  Hence the Slow Cooker Ravioli lasagna recipe was created.  I saw a recipe for lasagna in a slow cooker and decided it still was not lazy enough for me, so I replaced the classic Lasagna noodles with Ravioli.  I then made my own modifications which you will see below.  Now the great thing about this recipe is you can use any ravioli you want.  Do you want to use meat ravioli?  Go ahead.  Want to use just cheese ravioli?  Go ahead.  Want to use a mushroom ravioli? Go ahead.  It’s your world!   Just give this one a go and feed your people!

Ingredients

  • 1 Can of  Diced Tomatoes
  • 24oz Marinara Sauce or Tomato Sauce
  • 1 lb. Italian Sausage
  • 50oz Ravioli
  • 1 Large egg
  • ½ Cup of Parmesan
  • 16oz Mozzarella Cheese
  • 15oz Ricotta Cheese
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Parsley Flakes

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl combine the Parmesan Cheese, Ricotta Cheese, Egg, and Parsley Flakes.
  2. Mix this bowl well and set it aside for layering later.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add in the Italian sausage.
  4. Break up and cook the Italian sausage until browned and then add the can of diced tomatoes.
  5. Grate the Mozzarella cheese and set it aside for layering.
  6. Now time to layer the lasagna into the slow cooker.
  7. Spray the Slow cooker with cooking spray.
  8. Now pour some of the Marinara sauce on the bottom with the cooked Italian sausage.
  9. Now put in a layer of ravioli followed by some of the Ricotta cheese mixtures.
  10. Continue to layer until you fill the entire slow cooker with all of the ingredients.
  11. Just make sure that you don’t end with a layer of Ravioli. You want all the ravioli to be covered either by cheese or sauce so that it cooks well.
  12. Leave on High for 2 hours and then plate and serve! Enjoy this filling meal!
