Spectacular Sausage Cheese Dip (Slow Cooker)

Men Can Cook Chef Level:  Featherweight

Yields 8 servings

Intro

Spectacular Sausage Cheese Dip is just that Spectacular!  Super Simple Recipe that is great for game day or just as a snack!  I really like simple dumb in slow cooker recipes and this one is perfect for a quick and easy appetizer during football games or UFC Fight nights.  Takes little time to prep and an hour for it all to melt together!  Beer pairs well with it and you can utilize a corn chip or even tortilla chip.  I prefer Salsa Verde for this one, but you can use any salsa you enjoy!  Another add on is some chopped Chilies or chopped jalapeno!  Give it a go!

Men you can do this!

Ingredients

  • ½ Pound of Sausage
  • 8oz of Salsa Verde or regular Salsa
  • 4oz of Cream Cheese
  • 12oz of Velveeta Cheese
  • Optional Ingredients Jalapeno or Chilies

Directions

  1. Take your cheeses out and chop them into cubes.  If you are doing the optional ingredients chop them up here into small pieces that fit on a chip. Set aside while you move to the sausage.
  2. Heat a skillet to medium heat and spray with a cooking spray.  Then break up the sausage and brown it up.
  3. Once the sausage is browned turn off the skillet heat and set the sausage aside.
  4. Spray a small slow cooker with cooking spray and put in half of the cheese.
  5. Over this first layer of cheese with the Salsa and the optional ingredients.
  6. Now add in the rest of the cheese and top everything off with the sausage.
  7. Mix everything together in the slow cooker.
  8. Turn slow cooker on High for one hour.  Mix it up about every 15 minutes and once melted down you can turn the slow cooker to low or warm setting.
  9. That’s it your Spectacular Sausage Cheese Dip is ready to rock and roll!
