Intro

Whiskey Peppercorn Steak Sauce is a simple and easy way to plus up your steak night.  It will go well with whatever steak you like.  Ribeye steaks and Bavette Steaks with the little extra fat on these steaks seem to mix well with the Whisky Peppercorn Steak Sauce.  Those would be my recommendations, but check out this link and find your perfect Steak!  Get yourself a nice side of greens and a coupe butter buns and this is a meal!  Whiskey Peppercorn Steak Sauce goes great with steak, but a couple of pieces of bread or buns to mop up the extra sauce at the end is a must!  I usually make Whiskey Peppercorn Steak Sauce when I’m making steak in a cast-iron skillet on the stove, but you can do this on the grill.  Give it a go you will not regret it!

Men you can do this!

Ingredients

  • ¼ Cup of Whiskey
  • 1 tsp crushed peppercorn
  • ½ cup of Beef Stock or bone broth
  • ½ cup of heavy cream
  • 1 tsp of Kosher Salt
  • 1 TBS of Arrowroot or flour (Optional)
  • Water

Directions

  • Heat up your Cast Iron Skillet over medium heat or direct heat on the grill.
  • Pour in Whiskey and the Peppercorn as you see a small amount of smoke coming from the pan.
  • Let simmer for a minute and then pour in the Beef Stock or Bone Broth. Stir and let simmer for 2 minutes. It should slightly reduce.
  • Add in the Heavy Cream and Salt. Let this reduce and check for the thickness of the sauce.
  • If you want this a little thicker in a small bowl mix the Arrowroot or flour with a small amount of water and then add this to the Sauce.
  • Let this simmer for 8 to 10 minutes removing from direct heat or lowing the stove if it begins to boil.
  • Taste and season as needed.
  • Finally, cover your steak with the Whiskey Peppercorn Steak Sauce and enjoy!
