A1 Swedish Meatballs

Intro

A1 Swedish Meatballs is an A1 meal!  This meal can be done in a cast-iron skillet.  You can make your own meatballs or just buy some frozen store-bought meatballs to save some time.  The Key to this recipe and what makes it amazing is the sauce.  This sauce I’ve been experimenting with over the past year and I believe it is one of my better achievements in the cooking space.  A1 Swedish Meatballs is a great meal over Rice or Noodles.  Either is excellent and I think you will enjoy it immensely.

Try some of these A1 Sauces too!

Men you can do this!

Ingredients

  • 5 TBS Butter
  • 3 TBS Flour
  • 2 Cups of Beef Broth
  • 1 Cup of Heavy Cream
  • 1TBS Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1/3 Cup of A1 Steak Sauce
  • 16-20 1-2oz Meatballs
  • Optional Ingredients 2 cups of cooked rice or 16oz of noodles

Directions

  1. Melt butter over medium heat in a skillet with the flour. Once this is melted through and the color starts to turn a light golden brown you will move on to the next step.
  2. Now add in the Beef Broth, Heavy Cream, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and Steak Sauce.
  3. Wisk everything to mix it all together and let the sauce begin to thicken. This should take about 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. If the sauce does not reach the desired thickness you can add additional Flour. I’d suggest only adding a TBS at a time.  Giving it time to mix into the sauce, seeing if it comes to the desired thickness, and then moving on to the next step.
  5. Add in the meatballs once the sauce is thick and leave the heat at medium for another 3 to 5 minutes then reduce to low, cover, and let it simmer for another 10 minutes. Stir as needed.
  6. Spoon the A1 Swedish Meatballs over Rice or Noodles and enjoy the meal.
