Dill Sauce Salmon Burgers

Men Can Cook Chef Level:  Lightweight

Yields 8 Burgers

Intro

Dill Sauce Salmon Burgers are a great fish recipe that is great for summer grilling.  In this recipe, I used Salmon Burgers from Butcher Box and a Dill Sauce topping that really makes this a great Salmon Burger.  I also utilized an instant-read thermometer to help grill the Salmon patties to a perfect level of tasty fish!  If you are a fan of fish and would like an alternative to a burger grill these bad boys up and enjoy a great tasting burger!  I enjoyed these with some Air Fryer Fresh cut fries to round out an awesome meal on a sunny day.

Men you can do this!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 Cup of Sour Cream
  • 1/3 Cup of Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tsp of Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tsp of horseradish (For my adventurous reader add more to taste)
  • 1 Tsp of Dill weed
  • Couple cranks of Peppercorn (or you can use 1 Tsp of The Fit cook Sea seasoning)
  • 8 Frozen Salmon Burgers
  • 8 Burger Buns or Sandwich Thins
  • 8 Slices of Provolone Cheese

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl add in the Sour Cream and Mayonnaise.
  2. Add the lemon juice and horseradish.  Then add in seasoning.
  3. Mix all of this together, cover, and place in the refrigerator to keep the sauce cool while you move over to grilling the Salmon Burgers.
  4. Prepare your grill for grilling by either turning it on and bringing it up to heat or by lighting the coals and having it come to temperature.
  5. Place the Frozen Salmon patties on the grill.  Let them cook for 2 minutes and then flip for another 2 minutes over the direct heat.  This should produce grill marks on both sides and get them unfrozen.
  6.   Move the Salmon patties to indirect heat and utilize the cover with the vents open.
  7. Flip the patties every 3 minutes and check the internal temperature using an instant-read thermometer.  Depending on how you like your fish you will want to cook them to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.  If you like a less well-done salmon I’d recommend cooking to 130 to 135 degrees.  The Burgers in the gallery were cooked to 140 degrees as a reference.
  8. Melt some cheese on the patties if you would like and then remove to your burger buns.
  9. Top with the dill sauce and enjoy your Dill Sauce Salmon Burgers!
